호주의 톱10 명문 고등학교는?

호주에서 뛰어난 업적을 남긴 분들의 출신학교를 분석한 결과를 기준으로 고등학교 순위를 매겨놓은 재미있는 자료가 있네요. 의외로 멜번에 있는 많은 고등학교들이 명문 반열에 올라 있군요. 절반이 넘는 학교가 빅토리아.. (흐뭇)  과거에 우수한 인재를 많이 배출했다고 해서 지금도 명문이라고 볼 수는 없으나 그래도 학교의 전통과 각계에 진출해 있는  선배들의 힘이 음으로 양으로 영향을 주지 않을까 생각해 봤습니다.

아쉽게도 우리 애들은 이런 학교에 들어갈 능력이 되지 않는군요.  뭐 부모의 능력없음도 큰 원인이겠지만요..  애들이 부모의 능력을 뛰어 넘어서 명문고는 못 다니더라도  열심히 해서 좋은 대학에 장학금이나 받고 갔으면  좋겠어요...

어쨌거나 한국인들도 열심히 공부하여 정치, 경제, 문화에서 두각을 나타내고 업적을 남기는 분들이 많이 나왔으면 하는 바램에서 소개합니다.

There are 435 people who have received Companion since the honours were first awarded in 1975. The Companion is Australia’s greatest civic honour. In the Australian honours system appointments to the Order of Australia confer recognition for outstanding achievement and service.

특히 신흥명문고 상위랭킹에는 멜번의 고등학교들이 금은동을 휩쓸고 있군요. 역시 멜번은 교육의 도시인가 봅니다.

그렇다면 호주 최고의 명문대학은 어디일까요? 2010-2011 타임지 선정 명문대학에는 멜번대학교가 1위(45위) 이군요. 다음으로 ANU, 시드니 대학이 뒤따르고 있습니다.
고등학교를 보나 대학을 보나 멜번이 전통의 명문학교가 많은 것이 확실하군요. 맹모삼천지교라고 했는데 공부를 많이 시키려면 멜번으로 이사를 와야 할 거 같습니다.
