멜번의 교통 카메라

과속 단속 카메라가 표지판 뒤에 숨어 있으며 차가 과속으로 지나가게 되면 차의 후방을 찍어 버립니다.
뒤를 조심해야 하는 이유가 바로 이겁니다.  이 뒷다마까기 기술은 모나쉬대학교에서 만들어서 적용했다고 하네요.

▲ 지나간 자동차의 후방을 찍어버리는 무시무시한 상황, 카메라는 교통 표지판에 가려서 보이지 않기 때문에 더욱더 위협적이다.

한국에서는 카메라가 장착된 것이 보이면 속도를 줄일 수 있죠. 또 500m 정도 앞에 친절하게도 전방에 카메라가 있다고 표지판을 아예 설치해 놨고요. 네비게이션 등에서 계속 또 알려주기 때문에 그나마 상황이 낫죠.

그러나 멜번에서는 차를 운전할 때 네비게이션을 사용하지 않을 뿐더러 교통카메라가 잘 식별되지 않기 때문에 조심해야 합니다. 한번 과속 카메라에 걸리면 그 벌금이 어마어마하기 때문이죠.
